Serious? That's incredibly fast. Download is retrieving things to your computer, say watching a streaming video or downloading an illegal mp3 :dj: , upload is sending things from your computer to another location (for example, posting a photo on this web site).

(just kidding about the illegal mp3s)

You guys in the Sound area seem to have faster speed. Are you running a cable directly through Microsoft or something????[glare]

Us county folk seem to be a bit slower.....[sleep]

I've heard it has something to do with running cable through cow manure out there in the sticks...:geek:

I am the slowest, Marc. I am out in the country, kinda. Don't have any city limits. I have deer in my yard sometimes. But there aren't any cows nearby for manure.

I think I win the slowest. Download was 5.18 mbps/upload is 0.52/and ping of 83ms.

That could be something to do with it.:-k We also have a lot of wind blowing across the prairie out here too.

21.25 down 2.85 up comcast but if you go to other sites like http://www.dslreports.com/stest you will get different results

yeah mike, it says 54mbps, how do i find out the upload speed by the way i bought a 14 dollar zune card so i can download all the music i want for a 1 month.
we are going through wave broadband

Just for grins I ran this on my Microsoft workstation:

Speeds were 64.2 down and 5.5 up.

My computer at home, with 3 others connected and a teenager playing WOW-

22.85 down and 3.34 up.

Not too shabby.
