Lord Stanley's Cup - NHL Playoffs

Post by KUP » Fri Apr 18, 2008 7:38 pm

This is the second addiction my spouse (Minny-soh-tahn) got me hooked on; the 1st being esox.

And since it's too darn cold on the water....

So, let's hear it lads, who do you like?

Not sure now. The Canucks didn't make the playoffs and my second team(Calgary Flames) lost last night. The Flames need to win 2 in a row now,I'm worried.:-$

The Rangers need their turn, eh?
Wings could go...
I'd even go for the Wild, just to keep the peace around here.

It's gonna get interesting.

The team I'd really like to see? the one with Steve Moore on it. ... :-s

Well, now it gets grittier.
The Pens are great with Crosby, but it's gonna take more than a one line team to go all the way. But then, their goalie can make magic.
I like Iginla (3rd in points, 5th in goals) with the Flames, and of course Joseph is a FORCE, but if it comes down between them and the Caps.. I'd have to take Ovechkin, Backstrom & Fedorov. Saw Sergio play with the Wings and Brett Hull one night up at the Canuck House back in 2001. Awesome skater, like buttah!
Beat the pants off the 'Nucks, too, which was great after the crowd booed our National Anthem. :bom:

But I still like the re-born fire in the belly of the older Mario protege....Jagr wants it bad and Gomez and Drury are adding to the flame.

Rangers all the way.

By the way...watcha think:
Favorite player in the playoffs?
Least favorite player in the playoffs?

Best of all time?

Sorry KUP,....its been a couple hours and I'm still mad at the Rangers(94 Stanley cup loss is still bitter:-& )

Iginla all the way. There are others but he's on my team.
Don't have a least favorite in the playoffs(yet)
Best of all time, people will usually say Gretzky so I will say Trevor Linden. He won't be the biggest name out there but has played for so long and very well. Oh'...and he plays for my true favorite team. I met him back in 93 in Vancouver,it was only 2 minutes but as a young kid it was awesome and still is today. I hear rumors that he is considering retirement. I tip my hat:salut:

Dallas is up 2-0 in the series, which is awesome since San Jose beat the Flames. I hate the Sharks. I'm still not really sure who I want in the cup,Pittsburgh is looking good. Heres the new schedule. http://www.nhl.com/nhl/app?service=page ... onSchedule

Can't say Detroit didn't earn it, but I really don't like that team.

Your right on. The Red Wings were solid. I really thought prior to the series starting that the Penguins would dominate.
What a fool I was...Glad I didn't bet on this

It was a great ending to a great season. My two faves in the finals.
