What a Bomb. LOL I never really thought they would do well. They really offer no comodity to its clients. There are so many Chat areas or FB likes out there. My bro in law was out from New york. Hes with Merrill . He kinda mentioned in passing that they are investigating certain claims. Today again it plummeted. Boy am I glad I didnt buy any nor was there any to be had till the very last moment of opening day of the IPO. Anyone here crying ? LOL.Can you imagine losing 2 billion in 1 day? I cant fathom that in my lifetime. Look at the fishing gear you could have with that. The only one here with Billions saved up is AMX.

But I had to spend many Billions on a new trolling motor yesterday, so I'm broke, again. Image

Funny, My wife was telling to buy at opening day. It wouldn't have been much, they had a minimum limit to purchase that we couldn't reach. Glad we didn't.

Yep, there is a such thing as too much info. Way too much sharing and that's how many folks get in trouble.

It'll go back up, they probably opened it too expensive. I thought it was a dumber investment, simply because they're going to have to figure out a new way to make money. They can't really make any more than they already do, unless they start charging people to use it or something.

I do believe there is a open investigation going on with the IPO now. The trade commision is looking into it. From what I heard.

That's because the users of Facebook aren't Facebook's customers, they are the commodity that is being sold to it's real customers: the advertisers. All of that private info that everybody puts up on Facebook? It's all being sold to advertisers and other companies that can use it to make money.

Not to say Facebook is completely bad, it has it's uses. But it really doesn't offer much that can't be obtained from another website except for the number of users it has. Since just about everybody is on Facebook, it's more convenient to use it rather than find another website that offers better features but that nobody else uses.

It is more like Egg-on-face book or fell-flat-on-face book, at this time. IPO was over hyped and over priced. I thought the stock was going to do okay based on its large following and the potential for emotional bidding from that large user base. I was going to sit on the sidelines and be a spectator. Certainly is a bunch of poor sports that lost money, feeling deceived right now. I guess those that did get in on the IPO are not talking about it. At least, not until the settlement has recovered some of there losses.

Every time "like" is selected on Facebook, your being branded for customized advertising. Whomever stated advertising was the major contributor to Facebook revenue, knows what they are talking about. And selecting "like" is a major player!! Facebook being free, is a big influence on it's popularity.

I think big investors will make big money on the swings of this stock. it could be a great investment if you had the money. information is the new investment. what we all don't realize is that everyone on Facebook has given the right to them to solicit our info to advertisers. the system is in place to evaluate the inform online to effectively advertise to every individual personally and to specifically utilize this info for the benefit of making money. just wait....your info is valuable and there will be billions made off of it.

The ultimate irony - I predict someday in the future - protests at the FaceBook offices by the restless 1% organized on - Facebook.
