It will be for premium (paid) members only. Any non premium member just dropping into the site will not be able to enter the chat area. It will be where you can join into a conversation with other members, kind of like instant messaging. It will be much more convenient and will not clog up threads with ongoing conversations.

Still snow up in the North Sound. Here's a shot from Whidbey Island.

It got worse just up the road (higher elevation)
Weird it wasn't sticking as much to the trees....

It was a lot more then what the picture showed. And further along there was more along the way, but we were more concerned with staying ON the road rather then taking pictures OF the road. It was pretty wet snow which made for some bad driving conditions, luckily we didn't have to go far.

Weird story, we get just on the other side of the hill in the picture and off in a ditch to the left side of the road is this little VW GTI coupe, lights still on and car running. You could see it's skid marks and then it just went into the ditch and hit a tree. So my buddy and I are worried, so we stop the car, stick the hazard lights on and hurry over to the car to see if anyone is in the car and if they are alright. Dude rolls his window down, and I ask him if he's OK. He says he is, and I say "I'll call the police and they'll figure out a way to pull you out." The guy is like "Nah I'm good, don't call the cops." I say "are you sure?" and his response: "nah I'll just get it outta here, dont call anyone" and he starts trying to back out....Very weird...

Warrant or under the intoxication of some sort of drug/alcohol is what I presumed... It was a nice car though. The VW GTI was probably an 06 or 07 model, maybe even 08. It's about a $30K car....

No way he was getting outta that ditch though..

Cops call tow trucks tow trucks cost money.(cheaper to have a buddy come hook a chain) Or simply embarrassed. I wouldn't want more people than possible knowing I couldn't drive my $30k car!!:-#

Haha, yeah you nailed it...one of those two...probably drugs or something along those lines...that'll be a hefty towing fee...#-o Missed you on the boards, Sam K -- do you think you can make that LW trout derby June 14th?
I understand that the tow trucks cost a fee, but with how snowy that road was, how far down he was (barely saw him driving down the road) and how vertical that drop was, I don't think even the V8 Sequoia I was driving would STAND a CHANCE at pulling him out. He was down there good...

Will be home by then. Also might have to bring my boat back for some DR action, cause I imagine that by June the fish have gone a little deeper and aren't accessible by banana weight...
