Big D..his real name was Bob...and he used to make it over to Rufus quite a bit. Him and I traded PMs on here a few times...he even gave me his phone #. I hadn't spoke to him since last year...and I called him today only to find out he passed away in January....just wondering if anyone else knew....

There must be a mix up or similar name. I've seen Big D posting in the last couple months too. Look at Toni's downrigger mounting thread.

Ok...I clearly have this guy's handle wrong....unless there is more than one Big D on here. I just went over my PMs from 2008 and saw that I was comunicating with a Big D, and the # I had saved in my phone went to a gentlemen named Bob. When I spoke to his wife today, I said was on WL.com and she seemed to know what I was referring to. I deeply apologize for any confusion...I was just hoping to pay some respect to the gentleman that I will just refer to as Bob, who took some time to talk to me about Rufus....sorry for the dust up.

Rob, no matter what his handle was, it sounds like we lost a WL member and fellow sportsman.
Hats off to him and RIP. :salut:

A fund has been set up to help Big D's grieving widow defray the cost of his funeral. Her chosen funeral director only accepts payment in the form of Cabalas gift cards... Even a little bit will help.

Maybe we should have a special forum on passing. When someone feels like "This Is It" just let us know so these embarresing moments dont happen.I guess my next question would be if someone does pass ,can we claim the rest of their premium membership as our own?Maybe first come first served. On the for real side Im glad youre still with us Big D.Next time check in damnit>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Hehehe
