Points?
RE:Points?
Im not exactly sur but the more points you get the higher your rank will get. The first step is newbie then deck hand then 1st mate. Im not sure if it gets any higher than 1st mate but once you get 300 points thats when you are a"1st mate". 1st mate is the highest Iv seen. Later on when mike or aaron get on Im sure theyll answer this question for you. Theyre pretty good about answering these type of questions. If they dont answer with in the next couple of days you can PM them. But remember they are pretty busy with this site so it might take a couple of days for one of them to get back to you

RE:Points?
I hear that when you get to 10,000 points you can cash them in and get a free toaster.
RE:Points?
Maybe 20,000 points will earn you a microwave...

Aren't they the people that have to give you the toaster, microwave, boat and lake?

RE:Points?
cracks me up. :-)
1st Mate (100 posts)
Admiral (600 posts)
Captain (300 posts)
Deck Hand (10 posts)
I don't know how the ponts work, either. But this does present a contest opportunity. Most points at the end of the year gets all my garage junk, which may include some nice fishing gear...
I'll have to ponder this one.

RE:Points?
Quick Question for Aaron:
How does someone get NEGATIVE POINTS ?
I was going through the "Introduction" Forum and there was a Newbie by the name of LORI who actually has negative points ?? ( -85 )

RE:Points?
If a post of yours is deleted, for any reason, you are docked the points you received and then some...
To make this celar to everyone, the points system came with the forum software and the software did not come with a manual... so I really don't have any concrete answers for anyone about how the points work. Best I can do if it causes too much confusion is to turn them off.....

RE:Points?
I like the points, keeps everyone guessing how the heck they get them. Hey, maybe less is better...
