Snow...

Post by fisherman92 » Mon Feb 11, 2019 9:40 am

Man oh man I am sick of the snow... we have some where over a foot here in Marysville and expecting who knows how much more. I never thought I'd say I am sick of snow and bored out of my mind lol. The construction company I work for is on week 2 of no work, luckily I'm salary. I can get around with 4x4 no problem and did go shooting at a friends last week, but am still getting cabin fever like crazy. Anyone else bored and snowed in? What's keeping you occupied? My house is cleaned, driveway shoveled again, and fishing gear is all organized haha. I guess back to my imprint on the couch haha

Snow??? What's that? I'm inside and can't see any snow.

And don't want to see any more. Time for spring. :-) [biggrin]

I couldn’t agree more.. only difference on this end is that I can’t even truly organize my fishing/garage crap because I cannot pull trailers out into driveway, in order to truly organize and clean garage. I want to start selling some pontoon boats, kayak, etc. but I can’t hardly lay the stuff out for photos.

I fish year round. I don’t care about the snow at all, except I am not going to pull a trailer around in this stuff.
So yeah, bored to death!

OK, done feeling sorry for myself. :-({|=

Baked pumpkin bread and did the dishes and laundry. Organizing fishing tackle will take me many days of thinking about it. Made some extra lures my son liked last year. I did too. The fish did too. Gotta figure out what kind of boat canopy I want to replace the one wrecked by the snow.

Hate is a strong emotion which I don't think I have. Didn't hate the deer that wrecked my car either. All a pain though

One if our daughters just clobbered a deer out by Darrington. The car is drivable and she was shaken up but ok.

At our end I have cabin fever bad but have a project that popped up with the cold weather. The middle of last week our furnance died. I have had it apart three differnt times. It will run now but is mixing exhaust gasses with the return air. I think the secondary heat exchanger failed. It was time to turn the gas and power to the furnace off and call a repair service. They come out on Valentine's Day.

In the mean time I placed a few space heaters in strategic locations to keep pipes from freezing. The wife, pets, a space heater and I are all spending our heatless time in our home office. BRING ON SUMMER!

That sucks rseas. The lights flickered here an hour ago. I expect to lose power some time tonight.

Stuck a yardstick in just forward of my footprints - 18" which matched the middle of the sloped snow on my grill table yesterday morning. I'm happy to see it, tired of no snow winters. [tongue]

Steelheading is keeping me busy. Iced guides and tromping through 15” of snow is getting exhausting though.

At least you've been doing some fishing! Steelhead is the one thing I've been not going after for the last couple years. I'm not lazy but their too much work haha for me at least, hard to pin down alot of the time. Time for the thaw!
