any one know of a good VW machanic? 07 gti 2.0T dealer says the intake manifold needs to come off and be cleaned out thats the reason for throwing a misfire in cylider #3:^o :^o , 70,000 miles almost all freeway miles, 800 bucks to clean it? i know its a b to take apart but damn:-&

AMX is a motorhead maybe he can point you in the right dierection. But then again it`s not a dodge so maybe not.:-"

I know nothing about VWs, and even less about new ones. New is after they quit making the original Bug.

But I really don't see why they need to clean an intake. Shouldn't be any carbon in there. Is there an exhaust crossover that could be clogged up and so not heating up the throttle body? I thought they didn't use a crossover runner anymore now that they use computers.
