How about a colum on the lake index that shows the lake size in acre?

so like at http://www.washingtonlakes.com/LakeIndex.aspx put a column on the table that shows lake size. May not be a very valuable feature but I'd like to be able to quickly glance to see if the lake is float tube or pontoon size (ie Browns Lake) or bigger boat (ie Sullivan Lake).

that would require we actually go through the list and look up each lake for this information, then enter into the table. Maybe someday, but rigt now we're focusing on the new site coding.

The surface acre size is given for most of the lakes listed in the lake index.

Personally I think its a usefull feature and I'd like to see it included in the new site. Ive gone thru and made a spreadsheet for my self with the lakes closest to me or that Im interested in. I also added links to the lake/ramp owners web pages.. (state, county, city)

I got most of my info from WashingtonLakes.com and some other sources.

Columns on my list:
Name - Size (acres) - Camping - Gas Motors - County - Description - Reports - Map - Topo

I'd be glad to give anyone a copy of what I have.

UPDATED 06/26/08: Added a column for TOPO map links if I had them.

RaMcVey,
What a great spreadsheet! Thanks for the tip. I may have to build one for myself.

Great spreadsheet RaMcVey. I like how you linked everything to it. Very useful tool you got started there.
