Navionics web app?

Post by Larry3215 » Wed Apr 29, 2015 8:27 am

I just got this in the mail and wondered if you guys might be interested. It could be a nice added feature to be able to access charts for various areas.

Are you a website manager or are you in the marine industry? Our Web API is what you’ve been looking for. Offer a richer experience to your visitors by embedding the free Navionics Web API on your website (see examples of successful sites who did)! All over the world, publishers, international organizations, marine electronics manufacturers, charter companies, major fishing tournaments and forums are taking advantage of this tool!

Our feature-rich, easy-to-use API platform allows you to display our charts, both Nautical Charts and SonarCharts™, the HD bathymetry map you can enhance, and then customize them to include your own content, overlay satellite imagery with Bing (Google is available with limited features), zoom in/out, measure distance, and select preferred units of measure. Points of interest, graphics, tracks and more can be quickly added by importing Keyhole Markup Language (KML) files. The Navionics retail chart catalog which displays chart boundaries and dealer locator, can also be added.

If you are interested, or know someone who might be, register for a Web API license key. Implementation is easy and takes just a few minutes (video)! Dedicated partner support is available to assist with implementation.

Here is the link to get started.

I personally use the web app a lot. It has detailed sonar charts for most of the lakes in the state as well as the sound and ocean areas.
