Pop-up ads that don't seem to go away

Post by RiverDog » Sun Sep 22, 2013 8:19 pm

Obnoxious when there's a pop-up ad that doesn't seem to have and "x" to get rid of it. (the headlamps with laser focus)
I want to enjoy the site and not fight ads that stay around on the page. Sorry, I know the site needs the revenue, but...

Thanks for reporting it. I'll see what I can do to have it removed.

Our ad serving company cannot find the offending ad. The only one flashlight related was like the screenshot below... which is not a popup. I've not seen a single "popup" ad on our site in years... on occasion there is a roll-over ad that you have to manually make "expand", but nothing that pops up. If you see it again please take a screenshot of it for us and we'll have it removed.

Ahhhh... that makes more sense.. a pop up vs a "pop up". Rising from the bottom is not popping up... a popup is considered to be a "pop over"... i.e. an ad that lays over the website. The ad from the bottom does not cover anything if you scroll down and completely goes away if you login. Another benefit to logging into the site when you visit. However I've never seen that ad on the bottom not have a close button on the top right corner.

Either way, If anyone can get me a screenshot I'll get rid of it.
