Thanks! We thought it might make it easier/quicker to get to the main parts of the site. As well, it highlights to newer members that there ARE other parts of the site.

They're still there, you just have to hover over the words above the tiles to see them.

Don't know if I like/dislike the tiles yet, change comes hard to me.

I did notice some issues though, but will post them in the bugs section. [wink]

Nuttin happens when I put the curser over the pictures, other than they turn black/highlite themselves.

There used to be 2 lines on links/menues, now there is 1 line. That line when I put the curse over a word the drop down shows as usual.

It also takes more verticle room and so people will now have to scroll more.

I'm not sure what you're saying Amx. Nothing has been removed... just moved from a single line menu at the top, to a larger tile based menu below... What do you mean by "2 lines on links/menus"?

Was 2 lines across with the banner or something between them

now it's the 1 line across with the pictures below with nothing between them.

One thing I do like is: now there is a clickable spot to go to the forms list rather than having to look for a link, which was never there before, expecialy when a person isn't signed in or a new person just checking out the web site before signing up.

Now I know it's called 'Board index' instead of 'forum list', but when I first found the website I couldn't find anything like a list of forums. I didn't look again for a full year, then I found what I was looking for and signed up.

Hmmm.... now I'm totally confused. The main menu, the black bar under the banner, has always had a link to the forum.

And above that at the top there was another list across.

Then when a new person, not a member, is checking it out, the 'forum' word NEVER TOOK THEM TO THE LIST OF FORUMS. Then after they are a member, AND they are signed in, you put the curser on the word 'forum' a drop down menue appeared WITHOUT THE WORD FORUMS in it, and so no link TO the forums, ONLY the words 'Board index' elsewere on the page will take you to the list of forums. How many people know that 'Board index' is the same as 'forum index/list'? I sure didn't 5 years ago when I first found this web site and checked it out and found nothing except salmon and trout stuff, which I'm not interested in and so figured the website wasn't interesting to me. AND after a dropdown menue appears, how many people will click on the 'menue header' anyway? I sure don't.

Oh, and RIGHT NOW when I put the curse on the menue word 'forum' NOTHING apears related to ANY FORUM ON THE WEB SITE. sO, WHY NOT INCLUDe the word 'forum' in that drop sown menue so people can get to the list of forums after clicking on the word 'forum'? Common sense is all---'forum' means getting to the list of forums.

But now you don't need to put a link under 'forum' to get us to the list of forums because there is now a picture named 'forums' that does that.

The Forum menu item IS the link to the forums... yes, it has a drop down under it, but it is also a link... logged in or out, it always takes you to the list of forums... I'll another link under it, duplicating it's function, just in case this confuses anyone else.

I have a shortcut on the desktop for 'active topics', and one for 'fishing reports', and another for the 'forum list'.

Interesting comments. As a side note, there are basically three groups of users on the site. Those that hit the forums only, those that hit the reports only, and those that do both. The intent of the tiles (other than a visual refresh) is to help bridge the gap for both groups. You have no idea how many times I have had people say to me they never knew this part or that part of the site even existed. The tiles hopefully make more of the site obvious to people.
