RE:Poll!
I like the the message that pops up and says "Thank you for you vote". My computer makes a cool chime when it pops up. ANYWAYS, do we need to take a poll to see if people want to take polls? Sounds kind of funny. I just wanted to say(write) that. :compress:
I vote YES!

RE:Poll!
Give me some examples of why/when we would want a poll. Do you mean like.... " How many people wish to see an addition to the forum section which would include sub forums under (Trout Fishing) which would include all the various varieties of trout.
Or "How many people favor orange power bait to green?"
So is the poll more of a way to make a group decision about a change to the website or something sort of importan, while considering the viewpoints of the members. I would favor having polls open to the "Forum members" if it is a poll which effects change on the site.
But I guess anybody could vote on polls about trivial stuff like what color power bait is your favorite.

RE:Poll!
Chris, an example would be -
Your favorite freshwater fish to catch is:
Trout
Bass
Catfish
Musky
Panfish
and just like this thread Ipod put up you would be able to cast your vote. Basically it's an easy way to produce results. Instead of asking a question and tallying the answers, the poll would do it for you. And all can vote and see the results immediately.
I would have used polls for "Pound for Pound Greatest Fighting Fish" thread, "Best Handle Contest" and others.
They're a cool thing. But I have a feeling that if they were to get implemented, they would be abused for awhile until the luster wore off on them.

RE:Poll!
The current forum software I guess does not support poles for the regular member, only for ADMIN group. However, with the spring upgrade the Forum will be a new version and perhaps that one will. The only other work around is to ask a mod or Aaron or myself to post a pole for you.
