I'm touched. I see you're counting the weeks, days, minutes, hours and seconds until you have the pleasure of spending 6 glorious days, with the Packernut and myself.

Hang in there little fella, it'll be here before you know it. [wink]

15 lb 5oz 38 in pike w Lauren.jpg
Looking back at my records, I caught 11 pike in 'Merica this year, plus 1 I didn't write down but got a leader touch on. That gives me 12 fish caught in Idaho for the year. The last one I caught is pictured, a 38" fish that weighed 15.3 lbs by my scale that was released in good condition. It came in 39 degree water on 11/27/16 and was a real nice way to end the year. My daughter was pretty excited to see that one!

Oh, and I believe it's common knowledge that Canadian pike don't count. Those 189 fish were fun, though! The stories are true about plentiful pike north of the border, and I even had to swallow my pride and throw a lot of spoons. Good luck in 2017!

That certainly was a great way to end the year. Hope to see you on the water a little more this year.
