Hey fellow Pike anglers,

Figured you might be interested in this information about a place up in Saskatchewan Canada to go for TROPHY PIKE both with normal gear and also on the Fly sight fishing!!! This place also offers some GREAT Lake Trout fishing as well and Yes both species live in harmony no problem up there. The only difference is the type of hooks you will have to use, but the opportunities are Phenominal for a Pike of a Lifetime. Check out Wolf Bay Lodge website below. You can also check out "The Next Bite" Website for more details of this trip too.

This is a follow-up to a post from last January: My friend and I want to fish the Pend Oreille River for pike this spring but we are total rookies.
Can anyone help answer these basic questions:

1) How's the fishing the last half of May? Is there a better time to go?

2) We own a 15' boat with a large motor and a trolling motor. Where can we launch it on the river?

3) We know nothing about the Pend Oreille River: What are the good fishing areas? Are there any dangerous areas to avoid for boats? Are there any good maps available?

4) Where should we stay? We have the option of using our camper or staying at a resort if there aren't any good campgrounds nearby. Suggestions?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!
Bob
