New rules for sport salmon fishing - but no details

Just got this email. The links give details on the changes for commercial fishing, but I cant find any details about the proposed new rules for us.

Proposed Rules

· 2017 North of Falcon Rules - Coastal Commercial Salmon Fisheries
The Department is considering changes to WDFW's coastal commercial salmon fishing rules, resulting from North of Falcon recommendations. Coastal commercial salmon fishing rules are based on North of Falcon recommendations that change from year to year to reflect resource availability and to achieve conservation goals. Amendments to coastal commercial salmon fishing rules are needed to implement the agreed-upon changes.

2017 North of Falcon Rules - Puget Sound Commercial Salmon Fishery
The Department is considering Changes to Puget Sound commercial salmon fishing rules, resulting from North of Falcon recommendations. Puget Sound commercial salmon fishing rules are based on North of Falcon recommendations that change from year to year to reflect resource availability and to achieve conservation goals. Rule amendments to Puget Sound commercial salmon fishing rules are needed to implement the agreed-upon changes.

Seattle Times had a breakdown, looks like they are allocating more to the sport fisher, depending on Oregon approval. Still somewhat vague but looks to favor sport and reduce commercial impacts. http://www.seattletimes.com/sports/colu ... es-friday/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

This is different. These new rules are for Puget Sound and the coast. The Columbia rules are a different matter altogether.

Keep your ears and eyes open. We need to find out what the proposed changes are.
