In light of the recent closures to all of the steelhead hatcheries on our Puget Sound rivers, here is a commentary posted on the Everett Herald for you to read.

Obviously no sides want to give up and just say no more, where would the funding go to then? The state and the tribes are hell bent on getting their share and in the end the fish loose over and over again.... We honestly need to take a look at the canadians and the programs they have running... Their runs are 1000 times the runs we have in washington and oregon... Its time for a change, you will see less and less of me on washington rivers when fishing becomes non existent on the nooksack, skagit and stilly..... those are the only rivers with in an hour+ of my residence yet canada is 15 minutes away....
