I haven't been up to those rivers but for all practical purposes there is no Silver run in the Sky or Wallace.

There are some fish in the sky/wallace right now. But its low, slow, clear and warm... no willing biters on the wallace in these conditions at all...fish there but lockjaw as all hell, probably from being relentlessly snagged at.
The sky ive failed to dial in but I know the fish are there... ive seen others pull a few fish out, but its very tough in these conditions. Its not for a lack of fish. Its for a lack of willing biters the sky/wallace isnt fishing well.
I guess ill hit some lakes instead... trout dont care if its low and clear....

The wallace has the average amount of fish it usually does this time of year for sure, just uncooperative. Im willing to bet the sky does too.. theyre not rolling or biting as much, but theyre there.

So much for an emergency closure what I seen this evening makes me sick.
The closure must be for the sportsman because there was 4 nets at the hwy 9 bridge and I really don't think it was a test fishery because there was 3 trucks with 2 fish bins a piece in the beds. So I think the thing to do is everyone get together launch there boats and fish away

So does anyone know the answer to if netting has been closed too?? It would make no sense to allow netting while closing sport fishing! It is NOT sport fishermen that harvest the big numbers. VERY SAD!!!

i believe the nets are "test" fishing to determine run size and if there's push of fish coming. as for tribal nets there aint a whole lot we can do. personally i feel we need some federal oversight to ensure they only harvest the up tp 50% the boldt decision alloted. the feds are the only ones with authority on treaty issues.

Strider, there is good amount of fish on Sky/Wallace. Completely agree with JohnB, that they are not good biters because of that dry weather pattern, but they are in system and more will come from the salt too. Read reports from the PS. People are still catching them. You can go in Monroe/ Lewis bridge or Al Borling park when sun is going down and stay over there for a little and you wouldn't believe that this run is bad or something like that. As for me, I do not believe to those explanations why river closed. There is something else, but not that macaroni. Very unhappy with those closures, but what can we do.
Had big plans!
