Nice Mr. Kafelafish. We'll definately need your BBQ'ing skills. I hear Quad has some mad BBQ skills too...Sam Kafelafish wrote:Might have to skip the fishing part and be the chef for ya'll....I love cooking, especially bbq'ing...Might have to bring some ribs/steaks/bratwursts to upgrade from the dogs/burgers.....kutthroatkilla wrote:in this order to ensure the BBQ is at Rattlesnake :::

I will chipin for food too. And if we do want to do burgers, I can provide all the hamburger we can eat. Family owns/runs a a cattle ranch, know how much hamburger you get when you buy a 1/2 a cow?!?!kutthroatkilla wrote:Nice Mr. Kafelafish. We'll definately need your BBQ'ing skills. Eastside Members-
Can we start a list of interested people to do some clean up in the Four Lakes/Cheney area?
I am thinking about Medical, West Medical and Fish Lake.

Is it too late to volunteer for the East King Co. cleanup? I would definitely like to be part of this. I had mentally committed, but forgot to post it.

Maybe I am just a simple guy, but I don't think all that much organization needs to be involved here. Just a bunch of people showing up at the same place and picking up garbage. If there is no interest in BBQ-ing at Rattlesnake, we can just hit the XXX on on our way:chef:
I am still game - I can bring garbage bags. Does anybody know, can we just put the bags next to a trash can at each site? Or do we have to haul it out ourselves?
Oh, and for you eastsiders... The XXX is an old drive in Burger Joint - not what you were thinking... this is a family site after allo:)

I dont think I can make that date but after fishing Tapps Wednesday, Its apparent more that a 1-2 time clean up is needed there. Water bottles, pop bottles, cig butts, misc floating trash, a floating fridge...?
We are going to start pulling anything we see (maybe not the fridge, wont fit in the boat)out of the water on any trip we are on. It will be easier for me to do my part a little bit each time I go out.

Sorry all, I will have to bail on this one too. Got the chance for a last minute long weekend/mini vacation and took it.

Sorry for the absence guys! I've been fishing halibut and studying at the same time. I'm still planning on going out...but it looks like an organized event is not attainable at this time. Gas prices are outrageous! However, everyone should bring bags along this weekend and pick up what you can to help the environment. It's suppose to be 85F this weekend, so hopefully we catch a lot of trash & some large fish. I'll be at Lake Langlois so if anyone wants to head out that way Saturday let me know! ~ Bests, KTK

There used to be a XXX in Spokane many, many years ago. If I remember right, it was out on East Sprague. Lotech Joe can confirm.Gringo Pescador wrote:

Probably, it used to be a local chain - made thier own root beer & competed with A&W. Every one was a drive in with a huge Barrell on top of the building. You could always tell which ones used to be XXXs by the barrell. The one in Issaquah is the last. A few years ago the owner was being put out of business because of the property taxes. So he got the place registered as an historacle site. They do car and bike show & shines during the summer. The place is crammed with 50's memorabilia and old car parts people have donated. Used to take my 67 Mustang FB down there and my wife & I stop by now and then on the Harley. If you ever get over this way and are into that kind of stuff, definately a place to check out. http://www.triplexrootbeer.com/Marc Martyn wrote:There used to be a XXX in Spokane many, many years ago.
