Okay - FYI - DO NOT USE THE CONCRETE LAUNCH PADS @ SILVER LAKE - Spokane Co. !!!
First - Monday morning around 4:45am, the youngest boy and myself arrived at the turn off to the launch, and their sat a pick up, with boat attached and hood up. Turns out, this guy spent the night in his rig because while retrieving his boat his truck slipped into the lake and water actually entered his cab, getting his cell phone wet and making it useless - I let him use my phone to call for help and he got a tow out of their shortly after.
But this is not just a one time deal - Last night, my family & I rolled up to the launch to see another truck up to the doors in water, smartly trying to keep his motor running while others in small vehicles and light ropes fruitlessly tried to pull him out - someone else offered their F150 to help & I my Heavy Tow Rope - shortly after he & trailer were out of the lake - lucky guy.
Later that night - as we were getting ready to load the boat - I watched ANOTHER person (in a truck) nearly not make it out of the lake, ALSO USING THE SAME CONCRETE PAD - they did make it however - but with effort.
Those a just a couple that I have seen in the span of several days folks - in short, DO NOT USE THE CONCRETE PADS at this lake - especially the one on the right (as you face the lake) - their is an extremely BIG hole at the end of the launch that will suck your rig in - I have been using (like others I have seen) the sandy sides of the lauches - with no trouble I might ad.
Good Luck & Tight Lines.

that launch has sucked for some time. last year i broke my friends boat trailer on it when the tire fel in that giant hole when pulling the boat out. actually snapped one of the welds on the trailer. i see a sign on the fence at the launch entrance that says theyre going to redo it, heres hoping they do.

RE:SILVER LAKE LAUNCH - Spokane
The problem with both boat launches at Silver Lake stems from "power loading" boats on the trailer. The holes have been there for years and only get worse because people are too lazy to winch their boat onto the trailer.
Just be sure and watch out for indignant anglers, swimmers, and party animals when trying to launch and recover anywhere other than the concrete launch pads, that's a hazard too!
