Name: Clancy Mullins
Age: 28
Location: Airway Heights, WA
Hobbies: Spending time with my family, fishing, writing, reading books, and watching movies.
What You Do: I work for Washington State as a Vocational Teacher at a local Women's Prison. Also I plan on running for political office soon for this area.
Favorite Species To Fish For: I enjoy catching any kind of fish. My favorite is probably panfish, because they seem to be what I catch more often.
Where You Fish The Most: We fish mostly at Fish Lake in Cheney, but would like to explore some other options. It is somehwat limited without a boat.
How Long You Have Been Fishing: Only a couple of years seriously.
How You Got Introduced To Fishing: I fished as a kid with my father usually only on opening day, but a couple of years ago when camping my wife and I decided to give it a try and we are in love with fishing.
What Do You Do When You're Not Fishing: I spend a lot of time with my family, and also a lot of time even on off hours focusing on what can assist the population of people I work with, for a successful re-entry into society.

lori,
It seems like most folks' points tally up to total 3 times the number of their posts. Your points have somehow gone bonkers it seems. Maybe there is a prize for that! I guess we'll have to wait and see what the "Web Crew" comes up with as a way to use the points. As you seem to be the only anomoly, my vote goes to you to win whatever 1st place gets.

RE:NEW MEMBERS - INTRODUCE YOURSELF!
My name is Phill and I live in Gold Bar. I just registered this afternoon. What a great site! I'm a Washington native (the town of Alger was named after my Grandfather) and I grew up on the Cascade river. I've fished all of my life and prefer Lake and river/stream fishing. I'm 56 and retired. I haven't fished any lakes near Gold Bar but am anxious to do so. I've never caught a Bass or tasted one but would really like to. I prefer to eat the fish that I catch, as a matter of fact, I'm barbequeing trout tonight I caught in Lake Shannon. Any hints on what lakes close by I can fish with a gas engine would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Phill

Phill

RE:NEW MEMBERS - INTRODUCE YOURSELF!
welcome Phill! Lakes close to Gold Bar would all be hike in Alpine lakes. But if you head down the road to Monroe there are several you can fish with a motor. I like Roesiger quite a bit, it is like three lakes in one. A bit farther down toward Lake Stevens is Lake Stevens and also north is McMurray, another nice, quality lake. There are several smaller lakes around Monroe as well, but some are no gas motors. Have fun exploring and send us a report. :-)

Hello all - I'm Mike - aka (Yippiee) Favorite Quote: "I Fish, Therefore I Am"
I'm new to the Tacoma area and looking for some fishing buddies. Anytime - Anywhere
I grew up in FL - love all kinds of fishin - bait/lures - especially bass, bream, crappie, trout, all saltwater species, etc., etc., etc.
I am 47, semi-retired - I was a 500 ton Boat Captain in the Gulf of Mexico working in the Oil and Mineral Industry (offshore oil rigs) for many years. Also ran dive boats and have a Dive Masters License.
I have also been a whitewater rafting/fishing guide in Colorado.
I have a canoe, pontoon belly boat, blowup two person kayak, waders, elect. troll motor and a small fun sailboat (11' long w/ a 17' mast - its fast and fun!!!) I love to troll by sail.
I love to fish - I can help pay for gas, clean the boat, etc. if we use your boat.
If we use my canoe - please be an experienced canoe fishing person or bring your own dry bag - In my opinion anyone that has never flipped a canoe - has never really enjoyed one - LOL. But I really don't want to flip one with my fishin gear! Hint - Hint
I also love to water ski, etc. (Do you need gas money, spotter, driver???) I'm there!
Biggest fish - 14 ft. 8" Hammerhead Shark
Smallest fish - about the size of my thumb nail - the bend in the hook was over half as long as he was - LOL
Strangest bait - caught a 62 lb. Cobia on a piece of Chicken Liver
Strangest rig - caught a Marlin and a Sailfish using a gallon milk jug as a bobber!
If the fishing is bad - I am not above eating my bait. I perfer Shrimp and Crawfish - but have been know to eat a Cricket or two!
Please email me anytime: Yippiee850@Yahoo.com
Bow that rod! Mike

RE:NEW MEMBERS - INTRODUCE YOURSELF!
Hi - guess it is time for me to throw my rock in the pond..
My name is Mark, I live in Shoreline with my wife and two dogs. My wife is Mexican (hence Gringo Pescador) and I have been enjoying learning about light tackle fishing down in her neck of the continent! I am a computer programmer by day and anything but by night. I have been fishing since I was able to hold a pole, all of my family enjoys fishing but my grandmother and I were always the 1st ones out and the last ones back in - the saying was "if we gave Mark a 5-gallon bucket of water and told him there were fish in it - he would go get his pole".
Some of my other hobbies are:
Dogs: I have a therapy dog and we volunteer at schools and nursing homes, I am a certified Pet Therapy team evaluator for the Delta Society and on the board of directors for Reading With Rover. I also teach a Pet Therapy Prep class for other Dogs/people that would like to do this type of volunteering
Motorcycles: Been riding almost as long as fishing, started on dirt bikes and now riding a 2005 HD Road King Custom. I love long distance rides, the last one was 4000 miles in 8 days!
Traveling: I Never turn down an adventure!
I will post a picture as soon as I figure out how!

I fish not because I regard fishing as being terribly important, but because I suspect that so many of the other concerns of men are equally unimportant, and not nearly so much fun. ~ John Volker

Thanks for the welcome,
ahh Sturgis - rode the Black Hills many times, beautifull country. Been to the rally twice - back in 91 & 93, only 200,000 people then and it was nuts, can't imagine it now. Personally I like riding the same as fishing.. un-crowded!

RE:NEW MEMBERS - INTRODUCE YOURSELF!
Im Lyndon and I am 16 years old. I have lived next to Lacamas lake and Round lake all my life and I just started fishing seriously for bass 2 years ago. I soon discovered that in order to know how to catch big bass you have to know a lot. It is no game for a dummy. That is why I love bass fishing so much. My biggest bass is 4 pounds 4 oz and that was last summer. Obviously, I plan to catch bigger bass in the future. The first thing I think about when I get to the lake is how do I catch the biggest bass. I would take one 5 pound bass over 50 crappy or trout any day. I have learned a lot about bass fishing but there is always more to learn. In my free time Im either playing basketball, fishing or just hanging out with my cousins and friends. My favorite show is Lost.
P.S if anybody could email me some tips on how to catch spawning bass that would be nice!

RE:NEW MEMBERS - INTRODUCE YOURSELF!
My name is Craig Baker, my friends either call me just Baker or Bakerman. A little about myself...Im not really new to this site, its just been quite awhile since I've made any reports....like so long it was still under the old website design Mike had. I actually have one of those "Go fishing online at washingtonlakes.com" license plate frame on my car....its an old 88 Toyota Corolla...blue/grey so if you see that parked at a lake you will know it is me...and if so, look for me on the dock or shore cause I take grandpa's truck to haul my aluminum rowboat...till I can afford my own rig. I'll be graduating from Spokane Community College's Respiratory Therapy program next week 06/15! I cant wait!!! Been two long years...which is the reason I havent been on this site....actually its the reason I havent been fishing period! Last year, dare I say it, I didnt even buy a fishing license (I didnt fish either). So I really have the fishing bug right now, and when I look out of the windows of the classroom and see a nice day out....its realy hard to stay in that seat or not play hooky!
I come from a long line of fly fisherman. My grandfather use to run the hatchery in Colville many moons ago...fact he ran the one in Usk prior to it being closed down (the water was too cold) and was transfered to the Colville hatchery. My grandfather is an exclusive flyfisherman, whenever I tell him I used worms he will say, "worms are for the garden". lol I primarily fly fish but also use a spinning real to bait fish or cast & retrieve. I have a 12' aluminum row boat (actually its my dad's but soon to be mine) that I haul around from time to time. I fish mostly NE Washington up in Stevens, Pend Oreille, and some in Spokane County. I really havent had much of a chance to hit the Spokane lakes as am unfamiliar and since I just have oars, some of the lakes are a lil big for my arms heh...especially in a wind.
I've recently tried taking my 2 year old son out fishing but even when they are biting he loses interest quickly. He isnt affraid to touch the worms or fish, even if the fish is still flipping around. I think he will make a good fishing buddy as my dad tells me I was the same way at his age....couldnt sit still for the life of me.
Below is a picture I took last year with my camera phone wearing my fishing hat....its my fishing hat because its the grungiest hehe...dont want to get my good hats dirty...but if I do then they just become the new fishing hat heh.
