I'll bring a spare spinning rod and some bass gear. Heck, maybe I'll get to make a cast or two myself!

And if we are having a swap meet, what better time to gear up!
I fish not because I regard fishing as being terribly important, but because I suspect that so many of the other concerns of men are equally unimportant, and not nearly so much fun. ~ John Volker

Quad- I have done well shore fishing in that area. Plenty of access and if you know where the wood and castable humps are located...it may be a magical experience.

Mike- Count myself and Dilbert in. No kids, no wives, and Dilberts first fishing trip of the year.

Fishinislife- Here is my guess for winning weights:

Bass - smallmouth 2lbs 14oz. (should be a dinkfest)
Perch- less than half a pound ( I don't think I have caught anything bigger than that in Tapps)

Of course, I plan on winning $200, but I'll let someone else win the casting tourney. In all fairness, of course.

Mike my daughter and I will take you up on the offer. We will be there for the picnic, casting contest and hopefully the derby but I'm a member of the NW Tiger Pac we may have road clean up in the morning. How about a fruit salad? P.S. watch out for KUP she can cast.

Now, now, sparky1dog; everybody knows girls can't cast.......:^o

Except for your daughter, of course!!!:-" :-"

...and muskie anglers aren't nearly as competitive as bass guys, right?
so no worries; I 'm not even sure which end of the rod to throw..... :-$
Maybe I should have a handicap :-({|=

P/S Road Cleanup has been canceled for Saturday... too much to do for our big Open Tourney on Mayfield in 2 weeks. So feel free to fish the Derby, Sparky1dog.

I'll be there. I'm suppose to bring: A-E = fluids (pop, water, juices) based on my handle that starts with 'A', so let me know what is needed.

At the point of Dikes 5, 6, and 7 the water is very shallow. I was 30+ ft from shore passing over the tip of Dike 6 and chewed up the prop pretty bad. Not from a stump but from rocks.

I cant list all of the hazards on this lake.. just want to point out a few close to the County Park.

Watch the other boaters, you'll notice that there are a couple spots where people stay AWAY from shore when on plane. Consider ALL of "The Points" a hazard area if your main is in the water. Go slow in the stump fields. Mind the speed limit signs in the channels.

Pierce County PD patrols the park, inspects the cars entering and patrols the water.

Don`t think I`m gonna make it this year. My grandpa passed away earlier today and the funeral is most likely on Saturday. I`ll know more in a day or two.
