Where to go from Lake Stevens??

Post by fear_no_fish » Sun Jun 19, 2011 11:59 pm

My friend and I are looking for a free place to camp some time this week, we have a raft we want to take fishing. A hike to a lake would be fine. We're in Lake Stevens and are willing to drive a-ways. Any suggestions?? Thanks :bounce:

Go to Greider lake. Up by spada lake. It's full of fish and super cool looking. If you don't want to do the hike, you can camp by the road up there and the river is full of little trout. And spada lake has the trophy program going so you may catch some big trout there.

Fontal lake has big brook trout in it, it's right there south of sultan.

Point at a map and hike to the nearest alpine lake. That's what I do.

I know there are folks that do. It's in the middle of nowhere, and I don't see why not, just don't take my word for it. There's lots of evidence of off road camping there. It's like when I used to drive our rebuilt chevy love into the middle of nowhere and camp.

Like I said, just pick a place on a map and go. All the alpine lakes have fish in 'em and I never have to go to the same place twice there are so many of 'em.
