Older Lamiglas rod info S106MHC

Just scored an older graphite Lamiglas rod at a garage sale. The model number is S106MHC. It's rated 10-20 lb line, 3/8 oz. My question is whether it's a spinning rod or casting rod. It's got smaller guides that tell me it's a casting rod, but the reel seat is weird and there is no trigger. If anybody knows any info or where I could go to find info, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks!

Can you post a picture of the entire handle with the first guide in view?

Mooching rod? Maybe paired with a knuckle buster reel? You'll have an awsome rig.

I have an old Heddon Winona reel that looks like it would work for that. No. 105 FF.

mhc= medium heavy casting. that is most likely a varmac reel seat and was state of the art in the 1980's. still a favorite of mine.

If the guides are on the same side as the reel seat, then it is a casting rod.
