I had planned to go to Bead Lake this weekend, but it's thawing (like everywhere else). I called Pend Oreille Valley Sportsman and they said some people were fishing in the bay last weekend, which still had 3-5 inches of ice-- but due to the unseasonal warmth would not set foot on whatever ice might be there now.

Went to a local pond just to look, and there was 3" of water on top of the ice. One guy thought it was open water, cast his line, and it just went 3" down, then dragged the top of the ice all the way in. Looked kinda freaky!

There's still 12" of good, solid ice at Eloika Lake (in northern Spokane County): http://www.washingtonlakes.com/ReportCo ... &lid=8&t=1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; .

Fished Lind Coulee this weekend-- ice was GREAT! 8-11 inches in most places. But warmer weather is coming back. Saw a few people out of Moses Lake from I-90, but looked pretty thin.

Fish Lake has 10 inches of solid ice but at least foot of snow with some water below. Good perch.

Does anyone know if the ice is off Moses lake around the i90 bridge? One of my coworkers was just wondering because he wants to try fishing there.

I drove over 1-90 to get to Potholes last weekend. There were a few people out on it, but a lot of open water (about half). I personally wouldn't have gone out on it, and temps have been warmer since.

Thanks, yeah I think he's wanting open water to be able to fish it, I don't think he has the ice fishing stuff to fish the ice.

Hi, fellow ice fishing die hards. I am hopeing to squeeze in one more hard water trip for the year. I have hit Moses, Banks, Elton, and Potholes this year, but hope to fish Fish Lake tomorrow. Any help or ice condition advice is welcome.
