How much ice is on Silver?

Post by KCDEIFE » Thu Feb 02, 2012 6:39 pm

I have been out of town working and was thinking of hitting up silver this weekend. Howmuch ice is there out from the public launch? From what I heard you need to be in ~ 30 feet of water. How far out from the launch should I go?

As of Tuesday about 6 inches of ice, should be same or little more on weekend because of the cold weather. Based on the report, Morning bite was decent, but afternoon bite on Tuesday was dead slow from what I heard. Go past the second buoy another 100 feet or more and you'll see lots of old holes, I would try that area. Good luck and stay safe.
