hey guys im thinking about heading out on sunday and fishing jefferson head in my tub. I have never fished this area before so im looking for an expereinced fisherman/boater who knows the area and has just fished the sound alot. My boat can fish 3 comfortably although it is a sled so if you have crap sea legs you dont wanna be on my tubwhich is a 20' TJ with a hard top.

If you wanna head north I know a thing or two about MA 9. I fish area 9 pretty often, don't make the run down to 10 very often.

Hit Jeff Head over the 4th of July weekend and was finding some blackmouth out in front of the Kingston Ferry.

Troll with the tide, 100-150 feet of water, keep one down near the bottom, the other 20-50 feet of the bottom. Coho Killers are Ace Hi Fly's have been my best lures this season. Buddy got a 25+ lb hatchery the other day, I've heard the fishing has picked up a bit as of late, I'ma be trying my hand this weekend if all goes as planned...

Not sure if humpies are down around shipwreck just yet. They are pushing hard up through Admiralty Inlet and along the west side of Whidbey Island.

King fishing has picked up, I'm at odds as to where to fish in MA 9/10 this weekend...

I haven't heard anything about it....

No report on the WDFW site either...

Didn't think the catch rates were that high, I'd be surprised to see it shut down so soon...

I will be out Saturday the 8th hopefully by first light working the south section of area-8 maybe the shipping lanes for a silver, and might try the 8/9 border near the shipwreck to see if the pinks are in which I believe they are not with exception to the stray. Might even fish Possession for a bit. I just hope to catch a fish. Good luck all.

Pinks have been running hard down the west side of Whidbey Island lately, fishing is still a few days out at Humpy Hollow (shipwreck - mukilteo stretch) but they are starting to get a few out there.

Been out with some buddies fishing Jefferson Beach dock the past two weekends and it has been really good. Jeff Head on the slack and incoming will be the ticket. Earlier the better. Buttcrack of dawn for the best fishing. You can find them at 90ft but if you want the monster Kings get down there a little bit more and mix it up between 100-150ft. Coho Killers and Hoochies. But don't rule out an Apex. All behind a dodger with a 40" leader. There are big kings showing up around town but they are still coming in great numbers up North. I'm still thinking another week. Same with the pinks. Buddy caught one the other day but it was a smaller 2lber. They are here but the numbers are coming. I'd hit you up to get out on Sunday but I might be hitting the fresh instead. Good luck out there man. Bloody Decks!
