I am visiting family near Ocean Shores and want to try some fishing. The recent post mentioned fishing the jetty. Where is the jetty? Is it at the south end of the road at OS? Is the fishing better at certain tides? Any other suggestions? Where to get bait? Can I buy it? Someone mentioned using store-bought shrimp...? What is the ocean water temp now? Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks

From google maps, looks like the jetty is in the far south end of Ocean Shores.
they have sand shrimp at stores that you can use at gas stations and various bait/tackle shops.

First mapquest Ocean Shores, you should be able to find the jetty no problem. Southern most point, long and thin structure pointing West Southwest. Second head to the bay just outside of the Marina and Pump, dig or gun your own shrimp in the bay at low tide, it's the only way to go! Once you have your bait, head on over to the jetty and start fishing. If the tide is out I'll fish from shore on the North side of the jetty. When your using shrimp, perch and flounder are going to be tugging your line more often than not. When your on the jetty, the further out you cast the less likely you are to hang up in the rocks, this also lessens your chances of hooking fish. So your going to need to figure out where the edge lies and try and keep your rig right there. Remember the motion of the ocean will move your gear around even if you're using a good sized sinker so pay attention at all times.
