Washington park area lingcod

Hey there
I am thinking about launching my kayak at Washington park to target lingcod. Is that’ genral area a good place to target these toothy fish . If not where would somewhere close to that that might be a better location to launch. The less paddling the better as this will probably be a before work trip when I am working in Anacortes. Also unfortunately I don’t have a fish finder set up on my kayak just yet. Thanks for any advice

Not sure about Washington park area, but I have hooked a couple over between Decatur Island and James Island. Not sure if that is close enough though for a kayak coming out of Washington park.
