Does anyone have a GPS app they can recommend for crab pots? Apple has quite a few to choose from but I'd rather not figure out through trial and error which one is best.

I'd appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.

I'd look into Navionics Boating: http://www.navionics.com/en/marine-lakes-iphone-1 I have been using it this year and have been happy with it. If i remember right, you can use the free version to mark waypoints with either Bing or Google maps, but for $10 you can get detailed lake and marine maps that show you the depth countours and lots of other data. I have an Android phone, but it is available for Iphone also.

The other app I use is called GPS Essensials, but I'm not sure if its available on Iphone.

There's a few of them. On my windows phone I've been using "Where's My Car". You set the location when you drop the pot and then you use it to navigate back to it. It's really for finding your way back to your parked car but.... Parked pot instead. I needs to updated a lot. I've got a couple new ones I'm going to try, Radar, that lets you set multiple waypoints then nav back to them. And last, "Car Locator" kind of the same thing as where's my car. Because of the limitations on the GPS receivers in the phones they can only get sort of close, but that's usually good enough.
