First trip of the 2013 summer season for me last week! Good news to share! I have never seen so many salmon so early in all my years fishing up there. The numbers of chinook for june are UNREAL, the numbers of coho are even MORE UNREAL. so many coho you have to move to get away from them. And once you do, its chinook on! Its going to be a great salmon year once they come down to puget sound. you thought last year was a good coho year in the sound? just wait until this season starts up! So many salmon we barely had time to go get our bottomfish, but still caught a ton of large halibut, released some fish over 100 lbs search for fish to fit the newly-placed slot limit of 50 inches. Enjoy the video! HAd a 40LB LING eat another ling we were reeling up near the end of the video.
Switch to 1080 HD for better quality

There is nothing like holding a big ol salty king after a great fight and getting to watch it swim away.
Those look like some big waves to be fighting fish in, way cool man!
