Where to fish and what to use.
Hello everyone,
I will be coming up to Seattle on Sunday for two weeks for work. I am looking to find out where to fish and what to use. Believe me I dont want your secret spots. I am just looking for a place that I might catch a fish or two for dinner. This area is all new to me. So any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you all for your help.

Re: Where to fish and what to use.
What do you want to fish for? i.e. Trout, Bass, panfish, Steelhead, Salmon....What you want to target will help us with suggestions of where to fish.
Re: Where to fish and what to use.
I really am not into trout or Salmon. Is there any place to catch Flounder, or rockfish from shore? Also would like to possibly fish for Walleye or perch.
Thanks for any help you all can give.

Re: Where to fish and what to use.
Many of our local lakes have perch, so that's an option. FB is right, no Walleye near Seattle. Rockfish in Puget Sound are off limits right now due to low numbers, but you can catch Starry Flounder from many of the beaches and fishing piers around the area. You can find Puget Sound public fishing pier locations on the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife website. There are also a number of public fishing docks/piers around Lake Washington from where you can target fresh water perch and bass.
Re: Where to fish and what to use.
Thanks guys for the info. What is a good bait for the flounders in the salt and the perch in the lakes? I will only have a couple of afternoons to fish so I would like to make the most of it.
Re: Where to fish and what to use.
Both are pretty simple. Worms work well either under a bobber or off the bottom. Flounder can be taken on the same or many other baits too. Bits of clam or fish work well fished off the bottom. You can do a search on this forum for techniques as it's been addressed before. Tight Lines.Pyronut wrote:Thanks guys for the info.
