Wet Muddler

Here's a really simple, more traditional fly. It has the look of a muddler minnow and can be tied in various densities to mimic different forage. Overall, it looks like a general pattern baitfish/sculpin. Sort of resembles the muddler minnow, but without the bulky, dry deer hair head. Tied with 2 feathers, it is slimmer. With 4, it is bulkier. Both resemble different baitfish and breathe nicely in the water. I don't tie a ton of "old school" flies, but this one looks good.
Think SRC's especially in the winter, or when they are in rivers, predatory trout in lakes and smaller ones in rivers such as cutts and bows, and small bass and crappies.
Tied with tinsel, mallard flank and guinea I believe. Some green or brown mallard flank would work as well. Uses heavy lead-free wire to get down. Tied on size 6 2x and 3x long hooks.
