Sanfrandan, try the streams of the upper priest lake water shed. Granite creek and its sisters are an unspoiled trip to the past. There are wild cutthroat and resident bull trout in this system. In the fall the Bulls travel from upper preist lake to spawn and these fish huge and colorfull as seen on anglers experience with seth burill. Granite does wind through washington a little.

Sanfrandan, My mistake not granite, granite runs in the lower lake. The Upper lake tributaries.

Be sure to bring heat and/or make a lot of noise, that there is bear country. I fished in that general area back when I was in grade school. The memory is quite faint, but we caught lots of trout - that's about all I remember.

Yeah, lots of black bear, a few grizzlies, but what I would most concerned about is, coming around a bush and being between a calf moose and it's mother.A much more possible situation up in there. You never know what you might see in thoses drianages, there are Elk, Deer and Caribou and latley wolves.
