Spinning reel recommendations

I unfortunately need to get a new spinning reel. I had something that i was really happy with, and it developed a problem, then when i went to take it apart it deloped another problem due to my not being too careful i shot one of the screws across the garage. i don't want to replace the screw.
i looked through the history of posts and found just one where people talked about really liking the "Pflueger President"
spinning reel. Can anybody else recommend a spinning reel that they really like. i would be using it for trout/bass, and i also like to use it for casting from the salt beach for cutts. and silvers (i have other larger reels for heavier salt water fish)
Yes, I'm well aware of salt water and rinsing reels.
Thanks in advance.

Shimano
How much do you want to spend?
They have a ton of different spinning reels, from $30 up to $450....With a lot of intermediate reels between $40 and $100.....
Also, take your rod in when you go pick up the reel. Sometimes a reel won't seat itself right on the rod and then you gotta go back to the store later and return it when you find out at home. I brought 2 rods in to Joes, looked at some Pleugers, but they didn't fit on my rods too well, so I stuck with Shimano.
Plueger drags seem to be a little weak too...

I switched over to Okuma spinning reels about 4 years ago.
I have six of them and they are all holding up very well.
I would recommend you check them out quadradomus.

I enjoy the Shimano Sahara in 2500FB, new for $59.
I also enjoy the Quantum Incyte 20, new for $59.
The quantum is lighter than the Sahara, but I have had a bail problem on one of my reels, I believe just dirty though.
You can find some of the higher end quantum's on sale in many places now.
Here's a Catalyst for $79

Yellowbear, yeah, the Okuma, that is the one that I've had up until now. I absolutely loved it, it was so smooth. Unfortunately the bail mechanism became very difficult to click over to the closed postion. Of course it just needed to be lubed I'm sure, then as I said before when I took it apart I never could find the lubing point and lost an importan screw of a very odd size.

I'm a die hard shimano guy. I do have a few off brands and one of them is the Pflueger Presidents reel, its for salmon/steelheads. For the price of the reel, it's probably the best buck you'll get out of a reel. Very smooth with a great drag. The only complaint I have about it, it's a little bulky. I've only had it for a year now, and I don't use it very often, so I'm wondering about the durability.

I am one of the Pflueger guys - I've got two (6720 & 6730) and they have been great, especially for the price. In fact, I think I saw them on sale at Joe's earlier this week...

i'd have to say the pflueger president. This reel handles almost anything, and it's smooth as hell.
