Has anyone had experience with the Deeper or IBobber portable sonar fishfinders. I am thinking of buying one so I would like to hear about the positive and negative aspects of both. Thanks in advance

Deeper seems better to me.

I personally have not had experience with either of them, but after everything that I saw online between reviews and youtube videos, I told my wife I would like Deeper for Christmas this year. I don't remember all the reasons, but it seemed Deeper had more options with it, like turning the fish icon off and adjusting the sensitivity. It seems more like a normal depth finder you would get for a boat like a Lawrence or a Hummingbird. I like the fact that with Deeper you can see how hard or soft the bottom is based on the feedback you see from the sonar, instead of just a solid line that changes with depth like other bluetooth fish finders.

Thanks to both DocMigs and JV90. I am still weighing the features of both devices and will eventually decide. Since both of you recommend the Deeper I will probably go with it. Thanks again

I have the ibobber. It's fine, but I find it loses blue tooth connectivity frequently once it's farther that 50 feet out even though it's advertised to be good up to 100 feet.

If I remember right, BT spec is connectivity to 40' or what ever the metric equivalent is. So 100' is going to be pretty optimistic.
