March 31 is the deadline to apply for multiple-season hunting permits that allow deer and elk hunting with all three weapon types -- archery, muzzleloader, and modern-firearm.

I sold my muzzle loader. I never had a bow. Guess that leaves my 40 year old .22, is that 'modern' enough, will that work?

Already took care of my bow permits. I'd hunt black powder also if we could use guns with the 209 primer ignition system. I haven't hunted high power in WA for a long time. Way too many idiots with magnums running around the woods shooting at everything that walks, crawls, flys, or wiggles for me to be comfortable.

I'm planning on just bow hunting, largely for the reasons that Wolverine mentioned. No deadline for that right? Just go buy a license and tags whenever?
