So the lakes in Quincy area go like this

Evergreen Reservoir (grant)
Stan coffin (grant)
Dusty (grant)
Quincy (grant)
Burke (grant)
Ancient lakes (grant)
Crystel (grant)
Cup (grant)
Cliff (grant)

I have never seen them in potholes reservoir. I do know that there are some in the seep lakes. I dont know what lakes have them but one day at the mar don resort fillet station I watched them clean bull frogs and one of the frogs had a crawdad in its belly and they said the frogs came from the seep lakes. Also I have heard that Dusty lake used to have crawdads in it, but after the lake got rehabbed a couple years back I don't know if the crawdads came back. Burke and Quincy got rehabbed a few years back as well, but the trout have made a great come back. The trout were all 13" on the opener and the 15.5" in on memorial day weekend.

Also I heard angle lake has crawdads so:

Good list so far guys, let’s keep it going. I found a bunch more lakes and streams, but have to organize them and put them into list form for easy reading.
I am also going to email the WDFG and see if they have a list that they have collected over the years.

While searching I ran into a pretty cool article on the research behind the invasion of Louisiana red swamp crayfish into our waters.

*UPDATE*

Alright, the waiting is over. Here it is. I finally got the list put together. With my searching and your help I was able to create a list of lakes and streams that have crawfish in them.
If you know of a lake or stream that has crawfish and it is not on this list, please post it and I will add it in.
Thanks everyone for helping to put this extensive list together. For the most part I feel it is close to being complete and accurate. (If there are any discrepancies let me know)

Post by gpc » Thu Jul 05, 2007 11:08 pm

This list is GREAT. I will have to print it out and keep it in my truck. But I still say potholes res has no crawdads. I have been fishing there since I was 2. This is also my most frequently fished lake from year to year and I have never seen one in the res. I do know they are in some of the lakes close by, so it is possible. But only one way to find out...... bringing my pots and doing some investigating. Whats the worst that could happen? But if it does hold crawdads then all the lakes tah are conected to it hold crawdads as well. Witch is another 40 or so lakes:cheers:

I can just hear the trailer for the deadliest catch in Washington State. "These brave men risk their lives to capture the jewels that lurk within the ponds and lakes in Washington State. These brave men have traveled to their favorite ponds and lakes in search of the ellusive Crayfish. Daring their lives with eliments such as drunken boaters, jet skis, waterskiiers and the occasional seagull poo, these brave men have come to seek their fortune in the waters of Washington state. This is "Washington's deadliest catch!

Seriously bro, great job on this list!=d>

do you guys think a shrimp pot would work for crayfish? i have a bunch of shrimp pots laying around from back in the day when i use to go shrimping in hood canal.
there's nothing better than standing on the side of a lake or river knowing that only a handful of people have stood in that exact spot and witness the beauty of mother nature first hand.

I would think that would work. Only one way to find out though. But make sure to check the rules and regs book. I know the wholes in the pots have to be a cetain diameter. But you can get crawdad pots for under $10. The roap, bouy and bait boxes end up costing more than the pot

Fishnislife Im going to mineral for a week. Already have the pots loaded. Ill let you guys know how I do on this this forum

Crawfish night... reminds me of the clam bakes/oyster roasts back in Charleston, SC. If anyone has ever been a part of one of these you know how much fun they can be. Beer, good eat'n, and meeting new people. If I have a good day on the lake when I'm camping I'll usually try and invite over some of the fellow campers around our site for a Fish Fry...
With the proliferation of crawfish here in the NW it should be feasible to put one of these things on. A WL.com fundraiser for WDFW fisheries or fishing poles for kids or something like that. I'm new here, just a thought.
------------------
Switching gears here; what constitutes private property on the water? I know of a great spot to put a pot, but I am not sure if I would have to get permission from the property owner first. Any ideas? (I'd ask them if I saw them on the dock some evening althought the spot is halfway between two home's docks)

Thanks for the bump. The search didn't work. For the last two days I tried couple of places but no results.Well I got only one "dad" in my juanita creek. Also tried Pine lake,Sammamish river-no results.Maybe I'm just using the wrong bait.Cannot find any fish heads or guts in Kirkland.I was using turkey legs and a trout I catched at the Pine lake. So,what's the ultimate crawfish bait?

you got the bait right. next time you go to pine lake go straight accross from the launch. when you hit the docks go to the left a few docks and theres some rocks. a guy told me he saw hundreds of them scattering when he dived down to get a anchor somebody lost. said they were big as well.

To the best of my knowledge there is no such thing as a private lake. Man made maybe. State ownes all lakes from the mean high water line. Access can be another story. You need to find ingress and egress to the lake. Most lakes have at least a little trail on state property for access.
