I am looking to try smoking some trout and was wondering if anyone has a good brine for trout. Do you use the same brine as you would for Salmon? Any info would be great!

I use the same brine. Make a slit thru the skin on the back to let the brine into the meat.:-$
I just smoked up a load of Sockeye this morning. Had to make room in the freezer for the Silvers.

I butterfly my trout before smoking them. Then I use almost the same brine for salmon but a lil less sodium.Trout are usually not as fat as salmon so i feel less salt is better. As long as the fish floats in a salt brine its ok.
