Whitefish Caviar\Roe

Post by panfisher » Mon Nov 18, 2013 10:44 pm

Gordy and I caught some nice Columbia Whitefish that were full of eggs so i made up some Caviar. I ate several big spoon fulls and even got the wife to try some of which she said it was O.K. (we are not caviar eaters though I'll eat a plate full of perch/crappie/sunfish roe battered and fried) I really like this and will some how try to get Gordy to try it!!!!!

Im going for Whitefish this weekend. The roe is nice looking. I love smoked whitefish . Smoked whitefish back east is a real prize. Ive seen eggs in whitefish before but never that size. Very very nice. Thanks for sharing. Great pics.
