Simple Salmon

Post by FlyGirl » Wed Sep 11, 2013 1:16 pm

Hello~

This is a very simple recipe for salmon, or most any fish, just used it on Mahi Mahi steak the other night as well. Just adding some flavor without losing the taste of the fish. I grill it on the BBQ.....I'm a coal girl, not a propane girl.......A nice smoky charcoal works well. This is enough for about 2 pieces...Adjust for quantity.

2 tablespoons white wine
2 tablespoons butter, slightly softened for mixing- not margarine
2 teaspoons lemon pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt

Rub a generous amount on both sides of meat. I like the fish to be slightly cold, so the butter hardens back up. Let set for about 15 minutes. Place on grill for 5-7 minutes per side, depending on how you like your meat. The butter will cause the charcoal to flare up and smoke, imparting a nice smoked flavor to the fish. Also works good for your veggies on the grill....
