Minn Kota foot control problem

Post by Dan » Thu May 24, 2007 11:11 pm

I have a Minn Kota model 765mxt Turbo electric motor. It is 15 year old & has been quite reliable. For the past couple of years when turning the motor with the foot pedal, it continues to turn after I take my foot off the pedal. I have to manually lift the pedal to stop it This is very sporadic & seems to occur after it has been used for a while during the day. Any suggestions on an easy fix or local repair options. Thanks, Dan

Not familar with that model. If it is a cable steer controll you can adjust them at the foot controll. Use a Phillips head screwdriver and adjust the tension slide under the foot plate where cable comes into plate. Hope this helps.
