Unless you had signed up for email notification, the State will not be sending you a reminder that your boat registration expires at the end of this month. So as a friendly reminder to all washingtonlakes.com members, renew your registration on line at dol.wa.gov or head down to your nearest vehicle licensing agency and take care of business. Being strapped for cash, you can bet enforcement will be waiting at the launches the July 1st weekend, handing out tickets the instant a boat with expired registration floats off a trailer. On Lake Washington they hang out at the bridges and throw in a safety inspection for good measure.

I do mine the same time I do my trailer. With online option, it's just so easy.

I still havent been boarded yet. Granted, it's only been 2 years. I did see a person get pulled over on the lake by the patrol. Was speeding after hours on Lake Meridian.

The funny thing is, the patrol boat already with someone. Then this boat buzzed past them at WOT. I'm thinking, uh oh. Sure enough, as soon as the patrol was done with the original boat. It went after the speeding boat, lol.

Cha ching, cha ching, cha ching.... That's the sound I hear every time I turn the key on my boat, I think there is some sort of "tick" in the engine..... [flapper]

I was boarded in my little 16' Duro Boat, first time I took it in the salt water (I think it was only the 3rd time I'd been out in it after I'd bought it)
I took it crabbing in front of Everett and they were going boat to boat doing saftey checks. I passed, and haven't been boarded since. I can feel it coming though! haha
