As mentioned in a earlier post. a "Natural Investment Permit" and "Annual Launch Permit" are two very different terms describing the same "Permit". That permit cost is $80, and is good for unlimited boat launches, during a one year period from the date of purchase.

Re: lake sammamish
The "Annual Launch Permit". Is that only good for the specific lake you purchase it for or is it good for all WA State Park launches?
Re: lake sammamish
All State Park launches, AND rv dump sites at the State parks.

Re: lake sammamish
Ya, they changed the name to it to something 'envionmental', but everyone still calls it the launch permit, even the rangers.

the parking pass is for parking at state park when not launching a boat....it would not make sense for the launch fee to NOT cover the parking of the vehicle and trailer...otherwise you know they would offer a combo launch and park deal.

Re: lake sammamish
with daily pass you need both but I see I did not mention I was referring to the yearly $80 pass....with that, my understanding is, that is all that is required.
Launching a boat at a state park requires:
1.An annual launch permit (Natural Investment Permit); or
2.An annual Discover Pass AND a daily launch permit; or
3.A one-day Discover Pass AND a daily launch permit.
•Daily launch permit (included in camping fee): $7 ($5 at Bridgeport, Larrabee, Columbia Hills, Conconully, Sacajawea and Steamboat Rock state parks).
•Annual launch permit: $80

Annual launch permit: $80 = if you have one, that is all you need. No Discover Pass, no daily launch fee. It covers everything in the Annual launch permit for $80.

Re: lake sammamish
That is what I thought...but I was starting to question myself. $80 is a good deal if you are going to use your boat much.

I believe anywhere you can get a fishing or hunting license.FishingFool wrote:I dont think anyone has mentioned this, but where does a person buy the yearly state park pass at?
Re: lake sammamish
Nope, and I HAVE mentioned it a few times in different threads.
You can drive to the office at Lake Sammamish, and hope someone is there, or call ahead of time and hope someone answers the phone. Or call the main Washington State Parks Dept. office on the phone, then they'll send it to you.

Lame, that's not very efficient. Wish there was an online option or at retailers like for fishing licenses.Amx wrote:Nope, and I HAVE mentioned it a few times in different threads.

Found out, you can buy the annual State Park launch online.
