Cooler for a small inflatable boat?

Post by gavran8 » Tue Aug 23, 2011 3:26 am

I just bought a small inflatable boat and really enjoy bass fishing from it with my girlfriend. Link to boat: [url=http://%20http://www.google.com/imgres?q=seahawk+inex+ii&um=1&hl=en&safe=off&biw=1366&bih=553&tbm=isch&tbnid=1gcb_QRQzh0GtM:&imgrefurl=http://spellboundsports.com/manufacturers/intex-166/index-3.html&docid=OryAlkVEGI3m4M&w=320&h=213&ei=lytTTrujH5PZiAKG4Pn9DA&zoom=1&iact=rc&dur=462&page=1&tbnh=105&tbnw=158&start=0&ndsp=21&ved=1t:429,r:3,s:0&tx=56&ty=71]Seahawk II[/url]

I really need to get a small cooler for it to either put inside or drag behind. We'll be putting food, beer, wine, etc.... in it. Does anyone have some recommendations? Links would be helpful as well?

Thanks in advance,

gavran8

How small?

Have you considered one of the soft side ones?

Send a PM to Natetreat. If he doesn't jump in anyway. I believe he has the same inflatable.

A bit small, but maybe with this picture you can get a standard medium/small cooler and squeeze an inner tube around it before inflating the tube...........

I have a coleman cooler, not the smallest one, but if you don't over load it and you lash it to the back of the boat it floats just fine. I tie the handles to my tie line and let it hang in the water behind the raft. If you have a motor you could put it on the side, but then you'd drive funky, or just put it in the back and use it for a seat. Pretty much any cooler that has a solid latch will be watertight and float well enough to tow behind the boat.

Get a floating cooler. Attach a line to it.... so it becomes a bobber. And if it goes down and never comes back up you know you hooked the big one....
