need advice/oppinions, should I sell? anbd if so, how much?

Ok should I sell the inflatable pontoon in the picture below so that I could buy a utility trailer to haul a 12' aluminum row boat around? Looking at this one from Harbor Freight

I've liked the aluminum more, grew up with it, love the rowing, have a trolling motor for it too. It's not mine though, its my dad's but he never uses it and it would basically stay at my house and be available to me whenever I wanted to use it. Plus I can take my son(s) around in it which I cannot in the 'toon.

the pontoon is Outfitter XT (looks like the Trout Unlimited Colorado XT). I want to make the distinction because the Trout Unlimited version is different that the XT version currently available. I have literally used it like 4 times over the last 4 years....mostly cause of how difficult it was for me to haul around with a compact car lol. 3 of those 4 years it was stored in plastic totes in a garage.

It holds air great (zero leak), still looks brand new (at least to me), the oars have some wear from the oar locks but that is it, but nothing really "wrong" with it. And the wheel that comes with it for easier transporting still has the nubs and has not lost any air at all. For all intent and purposes I would consider it "like new".

it is missing the valve wrench though, I dont know where it is but am looking for it.

I bought it from Costco in 2007, dont remember what I paid for it but they had it listed as a fairly good discount.....would also include the air pump (Advanced Elements dual action, retails $35).

Looks like someone previously had one listed on the W-L.com classifieds for $265 (back in 2007).

I believe Costco was selling it for $299 when I bought it...

Lotech Joe has that same kind of trailer. I have pulled it behind my truck with his pontoon boat on it. It seems like a descent little trailer for the money.

When you are raising a family, bonding with your kids in a one man pontoon boat doesn't work that well. I would say sell the pontoon boat and get the trailer. If I remember right, Costco was selling that boat for about $300.00

Here is a picture of it when you met me out at Amber in 2008.

I put it on craigslist and in the W-L.com classifieds....might put it in The Exchange nickel ads since a friend of mine is the general manager there.

I'd try selling it no more than $250. If you can buy one brand new for $300 most people will pay the extra $50 for a new one.
