Lacamus Lake - OK to Fish Now?
Hi, I'm new here and new to Washington State fishing (I'm an Oregonian). I did a search on here, read some reports dating back to November.
I've read other resources on the web, including Washington's Fishing Regulations, where the lake is not listed. The creek going into it is.
So, is it cool to fish in the lake this time of year? If so, what are the restrictions. Any tips, traps would be appreciated. I drove there last Friday, checked out the park, saw the float plane, then headed back. This little lake is a perfect spot as far as driving distance goes. I'll be fishing from a 10-ft Aquapod.
If the lake is not cool, any other lakes I could hit that you'd recommend?
Thanks.
Carl

Generally if a lake is not listed it follows the general rules. If that lake is actually a resevoir it may follow the river or stream rules that apply.
If you're unsure and don't want to risk a ticket, I'd shoot the wdfw an email and ask. We just interpret the rules, just like all the rest. someone elses interpretation may be different. Please read all the pages.

Build a man a fire and he's warm for the night. Light a man on fire and he's warm the rest of his life!

Thanks. I know it's a reservoir, even read that it was a popular place for chopshops to dump stolen cars. :(
Sometimes I hear the lake is nasty. Then, I read about people enjoying some good fishing.
Still reading the regs.
