campin/fishin spots

aye can anyone give me a good fishin and campin spot where i can back pack. preferrable mountain lakes within the seattle area. also no more than a 5 mile hike.

there is one a ways north of seattle(deception pass) that is an awesome hike. 5 miles, 2 lakes, LOTS of brookies. pm if interested

check out lake serene off of highway 2. It is a gorgous lake with nice trout in it. Very primitive camping conditions, and a steep three mile hike.

Last year I actually got to watch some trout spawning in the shallows...one of the coolest things I have ever seen.

You should check out Eight mile lake off of highway 2 just before leavenworth. Its a little out of your way but is a great hike/fishing spot. search for the report on this site if your interested.

The Mt. Pilchuck area has several lake that you can hike into that hold trout. Lake 22, Heather, Pinnacle and Boardman are just a few to get you started. I have hiked up to all of these, and if you're even in moderate shape it's no big deal. All are about 2 to 2 1/2 miles and although I've never fished them, I've seen others do it and I've seen fish fish in the shallows. Not the place to go if you're looking for lunkers, but it should be fun and the scenery in fantastic. Bring your camera. Have fun Mark
