Long is currently, but just for shore fishing. Water will be up pretty close to the launches this weekend.

One more thing when you say launches, I only know of two. The nine mile one and the one on the resort like 25min past the 9mile one. When does the resort open??? I launched at 9mile once last year and its was a one shallow ride.

There are 3 public launches currently:

Spokane house (hwy 291)
Nine Mile Resort (near my place, now run by Avista, summertime only)
DNR (out past Tumtum)

There are also club launches in all of the various neighborhoods where you must be a member to launch. If you know someone, you can launch on them.

I will do a detailed launch site description on the Spokane house launch upriver, which will hopefully be added to the lake report. Its not particularly deep, but if you know where to go, it isnt dangerous in the least.

Crappie started last year about apr 10th or so, deep water bass can be had right now, but low fish numbers for lots of hours. Perch are out there, but I havent caught any yet. Trout and whitefish are plentiful at both ends, with all of the sucker and carp feeding as well (fun to stretch a line on).
