ice fishing at fish lake

does anyone know current ice conditions at fish lake?
i'm planning on taking my 8 yr son this weekend, i've tried calling the cove resort but gotten no answer i'd hate for our long antisipated trip to be a bust

24"thick..some spots were thicker some were thinner.Take an auger with you.The lake is fine for fishing but as the weather has been warmer always be very carefull.At my size and health I wear a life jacket just in case.I also tie a rope to my leg just in case.Hehehe

GRANDMOTHER IN LEAVENWORTH SAYS ITS MELTING FAST IN TOWN. IT IS COLDER UP AT THE LAKE, BUT STILL, BE VERY CAREFULL!!

does anyone know where i can rent an auger?i usually just punch open old holes with a hatchet

the only place that i can think of that would sell one in the near area of fish lake would be hooked on toys or stans merry mart in wenatchee. the close's place to rent one may be in minnesota:-"

I was at fish lake this weekend the ice was very thick about 2 feet . On sat there were about 75 people out fishing the sun was shining and I think I got my first suntan of the season. There were three of us we caught 73 perch and 10 trout the perch were nice size but some of the trout were smaller than usual i hope this report helps
